TIME TO REGISTER! – KIDS MUSICAL CAMPS
Get ready for the best week of the summer! At our Kids Musical Camps, students experience five days of acting, singing, and dancing with some of their favorite characters as they learn from our team of expert teaching artists. Add in lots of theatre games, tons of new friendships, and a fantastic showcase at the end of the week and you’ve got one unforgettable experience.
During these week-long camps, students will…
play theatre & team-building games and crafts
develop characters & hone their acting skills
work with sining & dance professionals
rehearse and perform an amazing showcase performance for family & friends
Sing & Dance: Wicked | June 23-27
Get ready to defy gravity in this kids musical theatre camp starring Elphaba, Glinda, and all of your student’s favorite Wicked hits! We know this camp will be “Popular”, so don’t delay in registering to have your student “Dancing Through Life” and asking “What is this Feeling?” — it’s pure excitement!

SHOWCASE: Friday, June 27 at 2pm

Sing & Dance: Taylor’s Version | July 14-18
Your student will become pop star for a week as we explore the storytelling of some of the biggest hits of superstar Taylor Swift — amazing lyrics, killer dance moves, and tons of acting await as students create a showcase with songs including “Shake It Off”, “You Belong with Me”, and much more!

TIME TO REGISTER! - KIDS DESIGN & TECH CAMP
DESIGNING: NINTENDO
We know that what happens on stage is just as important as what happens behind the scenes – students will get to flex their artistic muscles as they learn all about designing for the stage. From props and costumes to sets and lighting, this half-day camp culminates in a gallery of spectacular student creations made for the spotlight. Mario to Princess Peach — Designing: Nintendo has something for every student!
During their afternoon sessions, students will…
study the process of creating an epic stage production
explore all aspects of theatrical design including scenic, lighting, costume, makeup, & prop design
learn and practice technical theatre skills including stage management, carpentry, and more
present a gallery of their design work at the week’s end

SCHOLARSHIPS
We believe theatre is for everyone. The joy and growth of theatre arts is an experience everyone should have access to! We never want someone to miss out on the chance to participate in theatre due to financial circumstances.
We offer financial aid to students and their families thanks to gifts from annual supporters, parents, and grant programs. A huge thanks to Steele Family Law for their generous support!
Approved recipients may receive either reduced tuition or 100% waived tuition.

Want to help support students attending camps on scholarship? This year, due to “a freeze on federal grants” Market Theatre did not receive a long-standing grant of $15,000 to support our summer camp scholarship program. Due to not receiving these funds, scholarships are currently more limited than in years past.
However, we remain steadfast in our mission to make the arts for everyone. We’d love your help in welcoming more kids into our camps — click below to connect with us on supporting students this summer.

CAMP TIPS
- Pay close attention to dates, times, and age ranges which can be totally different for each camp!
- Register sooner rather than later! Early bird discounts are available until May 2 at 11:59pm.
- Financial assistance is available. We believe every child should have access to the joy and growth that theatre can provide! If paying for camp is a strain on your family in any way, apply for a scholarship to have tuition fully waived OR reduced to just $20 (half day) or $30 (full day)
- Every camper will receive a free t-shirt! (?)
- Participating in theatre is great for your kids! Theatre helps kids discover confidence, imagination, empathy, collaboration, concentration, communication, problem-solving, fun, trust, memory, vocabulary, professionalism, and more! Expressive arts nurture emotional growth, self esteem, and a sense of self worth. Artistic experiences uniquely stimulate the brain, encouraging positive actions and relationships. Through artistic expression, participants are able to communicate thoughts and ideas in a way that verbal communication is sometimes incapable of.
