Full season auditions for all 2026 Market Theatre productions will take place 10/11 & 10/12 — please read all information below for details. Note that all wishing to audition must schedule an audition slot; information is included at the bottom of this page for those unable to make season auditions.
Dates, Times, & Location
Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 am — 1:00 pm
Sunday, October 12 from 1:30 pm — 5:00 pm
All auditions will take place at Market Theatre at The Anderson Arts Center, 110 Federal Street, Anderson, SC 29625
You will be assigned an audition time and will only be required to be present for your assigned time
Note: There will not be individual show auditions following this season audition; this season audition (and virtual audition if you are unable to attend) will be the sole audition for each show
Sign-Up & Next Steps
For the best chance at your desired audition slot time, we encourage you to complete the Audition Sign-Up Form (also linked above) no later than Friday, October 3
You will then receive your audition slot time and any other instructions and forms by Monday, October 6
Note that you may sign up to audition after 10/3, but if space is full, you will have to submit a video/virtual audition

Auditions open to performers ages 16+ years old (auditions for children will be held at a separate, later date)
Callbacks for all shows will be scheduled at later dates, if needed
Preparation
Performers are asked to prepare one of the following audition packages:
2 contrasting songs (1 must be in musical theatre style)
2 contrasting monologues
1 song + 1 monologue
Each song or monologue should be no longer than 90 seconds (i.e. 3 minutes max for a full package)
Performers auditioning for plays and/or the special event must choose a package that includes a monologue; performers auditioning for musicals must choose a package that includes a song
Those singing are strongly encouraged to sing with recorded backing tracks to be played from a personal device (e.g. cell phone); acapella singing will be allowed. Note: An accompanist will not be provided.
Video/Virtual Auditions
If you are unable to attend season auditions, video auditions will be accepted. Note: We strongly encourage in-person auditions when able.
Please fill out the Audition Sign-Up Form and under available days/times, select the virtual audition option.
After signing up, you’ll receive a full Audition Form link by 10/6, where you can submit all of your information & audition video link. To be considered for all season shows, please submit your video audition by Sunday, October 12. Video auditions will then be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the season for shows that have not been cast. However, roles may be filled at anytime, even before callbacks or full casting have been announced. Check back to this page for a list of shows that have not been cast.
