Meet the Cast
Bess Bergin (Puppeteer/Ensemble) has returned to the Market Theatre for her 6th show, and is absolutely thrilled to be back! You may have seen her last year as Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys and Spiker in James and the Giant Peach, and she just recently played Mrs. Perkins in Annie at the 24 Hour Musical! With her mother showing her Sesame Street, and her father showing her The Muppets, Bess has always loved and had a deep fascination with anything regarding puppetry, and this show has been a dream of hers! She’s super excited to help bring Audrey Two to life in this amazing show! She wants to thank her parents for giving her this love of puppetry, her family for their endless love and support, and YOU (yes, you!) for coming out and supporting the show!
Lydia Brown (Ronnette) is delighted to work with Market Theatre on Little Shop of Horrors, her second performance in Anderson. She holds a B.F.A in dance from College of Charleston. Lydia has been in Anderson, SC for a little over a year and previously performed at The Queen Street Playhouse in Charleston, SC in shows such as Head Over Heels and Singin' in the Rain and as a company member with Dance Matters Charleston. She appreciates the joy and laughter of performing that Market Theatre has brought back into her life and looks forward to the opportunity to work with them again. When not rehearsing, Lydia works for Clemson University and always has her nose stuck in a book. She is appreciative of her family and fiancé for pushing and supporting her to return to her greatest passion.
Simone Cheek (Crystal) is honored to be in her 3rd production at The Market Theater! She is currently a 12th grader at T.L Hanna High School. You may have seen her in multiple productions around Anderson. Some of her most memorable roles in Legally Blonde Jr and Elf at Project Challenge Playhouse, 13! at The Market Theater, and Anastasia at Southwood Academy of the Arts. She hopes you enjoy this fantastic show!
Andrew Collins (Audrey II) is excited to return to the Market stage in his second production. After appearing in The Rocky Horror Show last October, he stepped away from the theater until this show (which was one of his favorite childhood movies) called out to him. Andrew loves spending time with his fiancée, family, and their two dogs, Dublin and Lucille.
TJ Fisher (Ensemble) graduated from Erskine with a double major in Art History and Business. TJ minored in Visual Art and Vocal Performance. He has performed in Next to Normal, Chicago, and The Tempest. This is TJ’s return to the stage since 2018, due to a medical change. TJ is excited to be back in the theatre world.
Rob Gentry (Mr. Mushnik) returns to the Market musical stage as Mr. Mushnik, the grouchy owner of a mostly bankrupt flower shop on Skid Row... Until it becomes the new home of "a strange and interesting plant" as it makes it's first public appearance. Former highlights of his acting credits include Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Market Theatre), Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman (Market Theatre), Herr Schultz in Cabaret (Market Theatre), and originating the role of Chip (a Vietnam Vet) in Of Angels and Dragons (Anderson University). You may have seen him most recently as Olin Britt of the school board (and barbershop quartet) in the Market Theatre production of The Music Man, and as Mel Sturyvant in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
Brandon Ledford (Orin Scrivello) is thrilled to be making his Market Theatre debut in their production of Little Shop of Horrors! Some of his most notable credits include Johnny Cash in Million Dollar Quartet (Centre Stage), Doody in Grease (Spartanburg Little Theatre), Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid (Mauldin Cultural Center), and Prince Topher in Cinderella (Spartanburg Little Theater). Mimi Massey (Chiffon; Hair and Makeup Designer) is pleased to be back with Market Theater for Little Shop of Horrors. Ashley Wettlin (Audrey) is thrilled to be stepping into the campy weirdness of one of her favorite musicals at her favorite upstate theater! Ashley has been involved at Market in numerous ways, including music directing Tick Tick…Boom! earlier this year, and starring in Natural Woman: a Carole King Tribute Concert. You may also recognize her from the 2022 production of Shrek the Musical, where she starred as Princess Fiona (yes, Fiona is the star- duh). Ashley is the founder and creative director of “Just a Girl Productions”- a touring tribute company- which has galloped into Market Theater twice (Pink Pony Club in 2024 and Power Pop Girls in 2025). In addition to this, Ashley is also a writer (winning the 2022 SC New Play Festival with her original work, …And Getting Caught in the Rain), and recently premiered her original Musical Yes, Mommy in New York City. ENJOY THE SHOW!
