Meet the Cast

Bess Bergin (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her 8th show at Market Theatre! She’s played Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys, Spiker in James and the Giant Peach, one of Audrey Two’s puppeteers in Little Shop of Horrors, and she participated in her first 24 Hour Musical, playing Mrs. Perkins in Annie! Escape to Margaritaville is a stark contrast to the last show she was in, which was Jagged Little Pill, and the shift from something so serious to something so laid-back has certainly amused her! Bess wants to thank her family and friends for their support and companionship! She hopes you’ve brought your license to chill, and that you enjoy the show!

Alivia Brady (Marley) is a hairstylist and mom of three. In Alivia’s free time, she loves to crochet and spend time with her family and friends. This is her first show with Market Theatre and will hopefully be back for more because she is right where she belongs!

Mikie Brown (Jamal) holds a BA in Secondary English Education from Clemson University and is a current MAT student in the Teacher Residency program at Clemson. He has worked at Market Theatre’s teen and children summer camps, volunteered as crew in the 24 Hour Musical, and last acted in Market’s production of Jagged Little Pill. When he’s not acting or teaching, he is either playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading a horror novel, or working on his research manuscript (if he’s not procrastinating).

Jessica Candid (Ensemble) is sea-riously thrilled to return to the Market stage after most recently appearing in Market’s production of Jagged Little Pill. She’s feeling fin-tastic to be making waves with this cast and has previously performed in two of Market’s outdoor park shows (The Comedy of Errors and James and the Giant Peach). Other favorite credits include Click, Clack, Boo at SCCT and The Thanksgiving Play at Clemson University, where she earned a BA in Performing Arts. Outside of theatre, Jessica works as a biomedical engineer and enjoys reading, traveling, and playing with her cat, Mittens. She’s shore glad you’re here and is ready to shell-abrate all night long!

Mark Cawood (J.D.) Strangely enough, this is the second time Mark has played a character named JD in a Market Theatre show, as he also played JD Drew in Hands on a Hard Body. What are the odds of that? Other Market Theatre shows include Tempest (Stephano), Mamma Mia! (Harry Bright), and Something Rotten! (Brother Jeremiah). He has also performed at the Clemson Little Theatre and the Electric City Playhouse, and with the Clemson Players. Love and gratitude to his wife, Wendy!

Tish Crittendon (Ensemble) is excited to bring this fun show to this new venue. She is no stranger to the Market Theatre family and was last seen as Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man. Other favorite roles with The Market Theatre include Rosie in Mamma Mia and Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach, both in Carolina Wren Park. You may have also seen her at ACT, Clemson Little Theatre, Electric City Playhouse, and Mill Town Players. Enjoy the show!

Ian Colegrove (Brick) is very excited to be a part of Escape to Margaritaville! He is a freshman BFA Acting major at Anderson University. Recent credits include The Prince of Egypt (Swing) at AU, as well as local shows such as Beautiful: A Carole King Musical (Neil Sedaka/Righteous Brother). You may have seen him most recently in AU's Peter and the Starcatcher as Grempkin/Prentiss u/s! Ian is very excited to continue his education and plans to pursue film and TV in the future.

Brandon Ledford (Tully) is thrilled to be returning to Market Theatre for their production of Escape to Margaritaville! He was last seen at Market in their production of The Play That Goes Wrong (Robert Groves) and in Little Shop of Horrors (The Dentist). Some of his other credits include Million Dollar Quartet (Johnny Cash) at Centre Stage, Bonnie and Clyde (Ted Hinton) at Spartanburg Little Theatre, as well as And Then There Were None (Anthony Marston) at The Mill Town Players Theatre.  He is excited to be sharing the stage with such an incredibly talented and fun cast, and would like to thank you, his family, as well as his lovely partner Asia for their never-ending support.

Mimi Massey (Ensemble) is pleased to be back with Market Theater for Margaritaville. Mimi is currently a Hairstylist at SumGirls Salon in Greenville, and is grateful to playing in the ensemble . Mimi has been in a plethora of shows with the Market Theater, including Rent, Little Shop of Horrors, and Annie. Mimi has also Stage managed for this theater too for She Kills Monsters. Enjoy the show and let’s run away to Margaritaville together.

Owen O’Halloran (Ensemble) is 18 years old and is based in Anderson. They are currently an online student at Tri-County Technical College and plan on bridging to Winthrop University to pursue a degree in K-12 Drama Education. You may have seen Owen in other Market shows such as Jagged Little Pill (Ensemble), Puffs (Oliver) or Something Rotten (Robin). Other favorite shows include Godspell at PCP (Nick), Bright Star at GCT (Max), and The Winter’s Tale through AU Rep (Camillo). He’d like to thank you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show! (You just lost the game)

Megan Ropp (Ensemble) is very happy to be back in the south where she belongs after spending the last year in an internship in Columbus, Ohio! Her most recent credits are performing as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain, and performing in a musical cabaret as the Witch from Into the Woods, both at Southern Wesleyan University, from which she graduated with a BA in Music Performance in 2024. Outside of her theatre experiences, Megan is very busy working as a worship leader and a manager at a coffee shop, so she is quite relieved to be in a show that teaches the importance of beach vacations!

Brian Ryea (Ensemble) is a lifelong Jimmy Buffett fan and is excited to be a part of Escape to Margaritaville! When not on stage, he loves to spend time with his kids (both aspiring actors, Amelia and James) and likes to golf. This is his second show, of hopefully many more, with Market Theatre.

Emma Schendel (Rachel) has appeared in various performances with Just A Girl Productions on the Market Theatre stage, but this is her very first full production here in Anderson! Previously, she has been seen as Aggie Wheeler in The Game’s Afoot at Greenville Technical College, and has played characters such as the Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol and various ensemble roles with the Mauldin Theatre Company. When not in rehearsal, Emma can usually be found singing in the shower or chasing her chickens around the family farm. She hopes you all enjoy the show and have an amazing time in Margaritaville!

Charlotte “Lottie” Shine (Tammy) is an actress with experience in classical theatre, contemporary works, musical theatre, and film. She’s passionate about truthful, dramatic storytelling and bringing new worlds and characters to life. A graduate of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, she now studies Performing Arts at Clemson University. Notable credits include the lead role of Ila Nottage in SCGSAH’s devised production Time’s Tide and primary roles in two short films, one entering the festival circuit. This past fall, she worked on Ride the Cyclone playing the role of The Amazing Karnak, and she is so excited to be playing Tammy in Jimmy Buffett’s: Escape to Margaritaville.

Dylan Walton (Chadd & Fight Choreographer) is excited to be back onstage with Market Theatre and at a new venue. He is a Junior Performing Arts Theatre Major at Clemson University. He was last seen in Twelfth Night as Valentine, The Comedy of Errors as Antipholus of Syracuse, and The Little Mermaid as Prince Eric. When not performing, Dylan enjoys playing games, spending time with friends, and rock climbing. He would like to thank Thor and the production team for this incredible opportunity.

Ben Williams (Ensemble & Production Intern) is a freshman at Clemson University, double-majoring in Theatre and Computer Science. His credits with Market Theatre include ensemble in Something Rotten!, Doctor Pinch in A Comedy of Errors, and running crew for Little Shop of Horrors. Outside of Market Theatre, Benjamin has stage-managed A Christmas Carol at Lighthouse Theatre and served as lighting board operator for Bright Star at Clemson Little Theatre, as well as lighting board operator and co-lighting designer for The Miracle Worker at Clemson Little Theatre. He is grateful to everyone involved and excited for what comes next with Market Theatre!

Meet the Production Team

Kayley Baker-Daab (Assistant Stage Manager)  is thrilled to join Market Theatre for Escape to Margaritaville! You may have recently seen her on stage at Market Theatre in PUFFS. Kayley holds an MA in Theatre, and though she loves taking the stage, you may often find her behind the scenes as a stage manager as well. Theatre has always been her passion, and nothing brings her more joy than partaking in any way possible. When she is not doing the theatre thing, you can find her at home cross-stitching beside her three lovely kitties (Andy, Pam, and Stanley). Kayley would like to thank her husband, Zach, for his endless support.

Dalton Cole (Technical Director) offers his skills as a scenic designer, master carpenter, and technical director to all of The Market’s productions. When not at Market Theatre, Chris is probably reading in a coffee shop somewhere. He is grateful to his family for their patience and understanding during late-night rehearsals.

Jonathan “Thor” Raines (Director & Choreographer) As director and choreographer, Jonathan "Thor" Raines is excited to share this heartfelt and humorous show with the community! Market patrons may also remember him as Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical, Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, and Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. He has also directed and choreographed Kinky Boots, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Little Mermaid. He believes in the power and love that art can bring to a community, and thanks you for your support in that mission. Thank you, and remember: IT’S FIVE O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE!

Rick Ricciardelli (Props Designer) is delighted to return to the props table for his first project with Market Theatre.
