WHAT IS DANCING FOR OUR HEROES?
Dancing for Our Heroes is a dance competition modeled on the popular ABC television show “Dancing with the Stars.” It is the signature event of the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson.

Multiple non-profits are invited each year to submit a “celebrity” dancer (a representative of their organization) paired with a dance partner. Each pair uses this platform to fundraise for their cause. Leading up to the event, we will be fundraising and every dollar goes directly to Market Theatre to power our “arts for everyone” mission! On the night of the event, the audience votes for their favorite dancers by continuing to donate to their cause!

At the end of the competition, the dancer who collects the most money is declared winner of The People’s Choice Award. A second award is also given by a panel of judges for the best performance!

In 2022, Market Theatre participated for the first time, with dancers Carlie & Thor earning second runner up from the judges! In 2023, Jakeia & Sincere are ready to blow away the competition!
