Dear friends,
The Market Theatre staff and board of directors have made the difficult decision to postpone our production of MATILDA to April 15-26.
Due to the postponement of MATILDA, and our inability to rehearse during this outbreak, our production of MAMMA MIA! will also be postponed to new dates, May 22-June 7.
We want to do our part to slow down the spread of the coronavirus, which now has a confirmed presence in our local community. We are following the recommendation of the Governor and State Health Officials.
We are thankful to have found a solution that still allows for public performances of this brilliant show. The cast and crew have been working tirelessly for months and we cannot wait to share MATILDA with you.
If you already have tickets for MATILDA, you have multiple options:
– Your ticket may be exchanged for one of the new MATILDA show dates.
– We can also exchange your ticket for any future Market Theatre production.
– You can convert your ticket purchase into a tax-deductible donation. This is an extremely difficult time for everyone, including artists and non-profit theatre organizations like The Market Theatre Company. Your decision to turn your unused ticket into a donation means more to us than we can adequately explain, and will have a profound positive impact on our local artists, students, and our community.
Ticket holders may use this form to exchange or donate their tickets.
With immediate questions please email boxoffice@themarketanderson.org and we will assist you as soon as possible.
We have also suspended all rehearsals and activities until at least March 31.
This situation is ever-changing with new guidelines emerging daily. Our board and staff will continue to monitor this situation take appropriate action to protect our artists, patrons, and community.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
