The Market staff and board of directors announce new changes to our current season:
In the hopes of making informed decisions with the most up-to-date information, we have waited as long as possible to release updates on our summer shows. With heavy hearts, we announce today that the rest of our season is postponed until further notice.
We are taking decisions day by day, week by week, and month by month, continuing to monitor and reevaluate our plans. Whenever it is deemed safe and appropriate to gather in performance spaces, we will start by presenting MATILDA, a clever family musical that has already been rehearsed and constructed. Our artists can't wait to share this magical story with you, whenever that may be!
In partnership with the City of Anderson, our annual Shakespeare in the Park has been tentatively rescheduled for September 17-20, 2020. We will not likely be able to present COMEDY OF ERRORS as originally planned, but we are working on plans for a play that is just as exciting.
The status of the annual 24 HOUR MUSICAL is to be determined. We will keep you posted! We are looking forward to supporting Foothills Alliance with this annual fundraiser, whenever it may be.
We are happy to announce that SUMMER CAMPS are still on! New dates and new rules are in place to give our campers the best, safest experience possible! We are closely following day camp guidelines from government and health officials. Capacity will be limited to only 15 students per camp, so sign up ASAP to claim your spot! All other performances and dates have been postponed until we are able to resume performances and adjust our season calendar accordingly.
Please follow Curtains Up Coalition which seeks to shine a spotlight on community theatres in our area as they struggle to survive during this uncertain time. Market Theatre is proud to be a part of this alliance alongside many other amazing organizations!

We are dedicated to producing all of these shows, as they were carefully selected to bring joy, entertainment, and artistic quality to our stage. Although the timeline may change dramatically from what we originally envisioned, we will be back as soon as possible!
